Established in 1955, Parahyangan Catholic University, known as UNPAR, is one of the leading private universities in Indonesia. Based on its' motto or sesanti Bakuning Hyang Mrih Guna Santyaya Bhakti, which means "Based on the belief in God, advancing knowledge, to be devoted to the community". UNPAR is constantly transforming to improve the quality of education for the young generation, and to make a real contribution in community development. UNPAR academic community has grown and developed to meet new demands and embrace knowledge and technology advancement. Numerous individual and institutional innovations and achievements have been achieved. UNPAR has 10 Faculties and 45 study programs (from diploma, bachelors master and doctoral degrees), and with more than 10,000 students, UNPAR commits to educating the graduates to excel in both intellectual traits and conscience. UNPAR has Spirituality and Basic Values (SINDU) originate from the spirituality of UNPAR‘s founder, embodying the Spirit of Love in Christian Truth and the Noble Tradition of Wisdom in Sundanese Tatar.
