UI GreenMetric Online Course on Sustainability - Praktik Sustainable Development Goals di Indonesia adalah kelas online yang ditawarkan oleh universitas terkemuka di Indonesia kepada anggota UI GreenMetric World University Rankings Network Indonesia. Kelas ini ditawarkan oleh Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Padjadjaran, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Telkom University, Universitas Pattimura, Universitas Palangka Raya, Universitas Lampung, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung, Universitas Samratulangi, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Pancasila, Universitas Islam Negeri Jakarta, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Sriwijaya, dan Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang.

Tujuan

Pada akhir kelas ini, mahasiswa diharapkan dapat:

1. Belajar berbagai teori dan praktik keberlanjutan di universitas
2. Bertemu dengan mahasiswa dan para ahli dari berbagai universitas
3. Terinspirasi untuk memimpin dan mempraktikkan keberlanjutan

Persyaratan Kelas

Setiap calon mahasiswa pada kelas ini harus memenuhi persyaratan:

1. Mahasiswa sarjana (tahun ketiga) dan magister
2. IPK minimum 3.0
3. Merupakan 5 mahasiswa terpilih berasal dari Program Studi manapun. Program Studi bersedia mengakui kredit yang diambil dengan melampirkan surat rekomendasi yang ditandatangani kaprodi

Background:

Universities need to raise awareness among all their academic communities by implementing relevant, consistent, and sustainable policies and programs. In this regard, all these efforts need to be managed by human resources that are specifically prepared to carry out and sustain the transformation of a sustainable higher education institution. Furthermore, these efforts also need to be managed by work units or attached to specific coordinating units at the leadership level of the university, enabling coordination, planning, budgeting, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring.

To achieve a higher education institution that implements sustainability in its operations, the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings Network has three priorities::

1. Shaping Global Higher Education and Research in Sustainability
2. Creating Global Sustainability Leaders
3. Partnering on Solutions to Sustainability Challenges

The 1st International Sustainability Leaders Meeting (ISLM), organized by UI GreenMetric and Abu Dhabi University, will gather global sustainability leaders and experts to discuss the most pressing sustainability issues in higher education. The event aims to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices for integrating sustainability into universities worldwide.
Hosted by Abu Dhabi University, this year’s theme highlights how universities can contribute to global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through institutional and societal action.

Purpose Of The Event

1. Strengthen Knowledge Sharing: Focus on the significance of sustainability offices in universities and the human resources required for successful sustainability initiatives
2. Best Practices Exchange: Universities from the UI GreenMetric Network will share their experiences in creating and managing sustainability offices
3. Driving Change: Inspiring universities to implement sustainability policies and programs that ensure long-term environmental and social impact.

Hosted by Bukhara State University in Uzbekistan, the International Student Leaders Meeting serves as a global platform for student leaders from diverse backgrounds and cultures to convene and collaboratively address pressing sustainability challenges. During this gathering, participants share innovative ideas, best practices, and unique perspectives on environmental, social, and economic sustainability. They engage in meaningful discussions, develop action plans, and foster cross-cultural connections, all with the aim of creating a more sustainable future for our planet. This meeting empowers young leaders to take collective action and inspire positive change within their respective communities, universities, and beyond, ultimately contributing to a more environmentally responsible and socially equitable world.
