Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) is a leading university in the field of science and technology in Indonesia. With the spirit of heroism within it’s history, ITS becoming one of the best science and technology university in Indonesia. The idea of establishing Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember was triggered by Ir. Soendjasmono (the vice chairman of PII East Java) in 1954. The idea to establish an university of technology in East Java was presented at PII Conference in Bogor. ITS has seven faculties that become centers of excellence for teaching science, technology, and design. In 2019, ITS was ranked as the 4th best university in Indonesia and was declared as the best PTN-BH (rank 1) in the Implementation of Programs, Activities and Budgets. ITS also received the Widyapadi Award (ranked 3) as an Innovated University and the SINTA Award (ranked 3) for the highest number of publications. At the international level, ITS was ranked as the 3rd best university in Indonesia according to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking in 2019 and 2020. Moreover, ITS was ranked 201+ at the Asia Pacific level. ITS is more than just a place to learn, there are various exciting lives. ITS Campus is iconic with its active student activities, ranging from sports, arts, scientific activities, to organizations to develop leadership skills and teamwork. Communities and organizations in ITS are large enough to be exciting but also small enough to sew togetherness and warm family life in communities and organizations. We love ITS because of its warmth, and exciting activities and events such as Festival Dolanan, where we come back to the past with traditional Indonesian games, Partying with ITS Expo, competing in sports through the ITS Cup as well as various endless exciting events at ITS.
